Bishton Community Council Awards Evening

The Chair of the Council, Mrs Gillian Burton was pleased to welcome the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Newport, Councillor David Fouweather, to Underwood Community Centre on Friday 6 October for our annual awards evening. Unfortunately the Mayoress could not accompany him as she was unwell, but a bouquet of flowers was given by the Council to pass on to her.

Over 50 people attended the event, and enjoyed speeches from the Mayor and Councillor Burton, followed by the awards ceremony and a buffet dinner.
